LAINEY RICHARD FONTENOT

Lainey Richard Fontenot, a Louisiana native, has had a lifelong passion for dance. She began her training at the age of 2 and has built her passion into a career that she absolutely loves.
Lainey was a 4 year member of the 2x Game Day National Champion Teurlings Catholic High Rebel Revue Dance Team. After graduating high school, Lainey began consulting with the team and then later was hired as Co-Head Coach from 2015-2022. Under her leadership, the team was named UDA National Hip Hop Runners-Up in 2017, 2018, and 2021 and received the Bronze Medal in Hip Hop in 2019, 2020, and 2022. The team also placed in the Top 10 Jazz teams from 2018-2022. Lainey choreographed the team’s Game Day routines from 2019-2022, taking home UDA National Championships in 2019 & 2020.
As a child, Lainey trained at Dance Graphics in Lafayette, LA. She trained in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Tap until she was 18 years old. After graduating high school, she began teaching at Dance Graphics while obtaining her Accounting degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
After a decade of juggling her roles as Coach, Teacher, Choreographer, and Accountant, Lainey was asked to take over Dance Graphics in 2020 and is now the proud Owner & Director. She absolutely loves training and mentoring dancers of all ages and watching them grow in both their personal and dance lives. She believes in proper training, correct technique, and beautiful movement quality.
This is Lainey’s seventh season as a Choreo-Connect Choreographer. She loves getting the opportunity to work with dancers all over the world and sharing her knowledge as a Choreographer, Instructor, Studio Owner, and Former Coach. She cannot wait to see what this season of Choreo-Connect brings!
