Valeria Cañas, a Miami, FL native, discovered her passion for dance at the age of 4 under Dance Unlimited. Her journey through various dance genres including contemporary, lyrical, jazz, hip-hop, tap, acro, and ballet laid the foundation for her illustrious career.
Throughout her high school years, Valeria was a pivotal member of the nationally acclaimed dance team, "Coral Reef High School," affectionately known as the "Cudettes." Her dedication and talent contributed to the team's numerous national championship victories.
After graduating, Valeria's love for choreography blossomed, leading her to teach and choreograph for Dance Unlimited and other esteemed dance programs in Miami. Notably, she guided the Junior Varsity Cudettes to consecutive 1st place victories at NDTC, and numerous National Championship Titles at prestigious events such as DTU nationals, GHSA, and various studio competitions with her captivating choreography, garnering multiple "Best Choreography Awards" along the way.
Valeria's artistic journey has seen her collaborate with esteemed figures like "So You Think You Can Dance Winner" Ricky Ubeda, and she has expanded her horizons by assisting and traveling with Chad McCall. Her choreographic prowess has graced dance studios and teams nationwide, leaving an indelible mark on the dance community.
Driven by an unwavering passion for dance and choreography, Valeria remains committed to pushing boundaries and nurturing talent across the United States. She eagerly looks forward to challenging dancers in new ways, breathing life into her creative visions, and propelling performers to reach their utmost potential.
